Travel Details
The wedding venue is located in Mary’s hometown, Holywood, Northern Ireland.
Holywood is a 10 minute drive from Belfast or about 2 hours North of Dublin. You can fly to either cities, and follow the instructions below.
Where To Fly
OPTION 1
Fly to Dublin
You can fly direct to Dublin from most major cities. This is often the fastest and most affordable route.
Getting to Belfast From Dublin Airport
Car Rental: Dublin is about a 2hr drive to Belfast.
Bus: There is an express bus from the airport that brings you to Belfast City Center (Great Victoria Street Station). Takes ~2hr 20min and costs €20.
Getting to Belfast from Dublin City Center
Car Rental: Dublin is about a 2hr drive to Belfast.
Train: There is a train that brings you to Belfast City Center (express route available). Takes ~2hr and costs €16.
OPTION 2
Fly to Belfast
You can fly to Belfast, which usually requires a layover. This option often takes longer, but can be convenient as both airports are within a 30 minute drive to the city center.

Getting to Belfast City Center from George Best City Airport
Taxi: The taxi service costs around £10-£15 from this airport.
Train: There is a train station within a 5min walk from the airport. The stop is called “Sydnenham” and you can travel towards Belfast to get to the city, or towards Bangor to get to Holywood.
Getting to Belfast City Center from Belfast International Airport
Taxi: The taxi service cost around £35 - £45 from this airport.
Bus*: There is a direct bus that brings you to the city.
*If arriving late at night, the bus may not be operating so we would recommend taking a taxi.
Getting To Holywood
From Belfast Airports
You can get a taxi from either airport to get to Holywood.
From Belfast City
You can get a taxi, drive, or get the train towards Bangor.

Getting Around
Train
Translink is Belfast’s train service and it’s a great way to get around and see different parts of the city or outside of the city. Trains run about every 30 mins, so check the timetables on the website before you leave. You can pay for your tickets on the train, so you do not need to book tickets.

Many trains do not run later than 11pm, so consider a taxi for late night trips.

Belfast bikes is a bike rental service with bikes docked around the city. It’s a great way to get from one place to the next and to see more than you can by foot! You can pick a bike up in one location, and drop it off at another docking station.

To Park:
Select "PARK" on the app
Lock the bike by pressing down the lever at the frame lock

Press down the lever on the frame lock
Rental will be ended automatically
